Vampire Slayer
It may be October in the real world, but in Mystic Falls it is September and the first day of senior year for Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, Tyler and Matt. With Stefan dangerous and back in town, Elena decides she needs to learn how to protect herself. Alaric starts giving her lessons so she can fight against Stefan if she needs to, and they come up with a plan to kidnap Stefan and lock him up until he is safe again.
Elena gets drunk and pretends to need help so Stefan steps in to save her. Just as he lets his guard down Alaric attacks him. But, things go awry later in the night when Vicki causes trouble and ruins their plan.
Back to Life
After returning from the dead last episode, Matt can now see the ghost of Vicki. She tells Matt that he can help her come back to life again by using a special spell. Unfortunately, Matt finds out that Vicki made a deal to stop Klaus and his army of hybrids. Her first task? Kill Elena (since her blood is the key to the hybrid army). After Vicki traps Stefan and Elena inside a burning car, Bonnie decides she is not worth the risk and sends her back to the world of the dead.
Team Klaus
Since Tyler successfully transformed into a hybrid, he now feels loyal to Klaus. But, he still feels conflicted because of his feelings for Caroline. After wavering back and forth he chooses Team Klaus. Rebekah, Klaus’ sister and Stefan’s ex, also seems to have her eye on Tyler. Will she replace Caroline as Tyler’s new girlfriend?
