If Elephants Could Fly
How could you not love Dumbo? Well, actually, the little circus elephant’s name is Jumbo Jr., but people call him Dumbo because he can’t talk – or do much else, it seems. Pretty mean, right? But Dumbo’s a plucky little guy and, with the help of some mighty tony friends (Timothy Q. Mouse, for one), Dumbo proves everyone at the circus wrong about his abilities when he learns to fly using his bigger-than-average ears!

Circus Elephants: Cool or Cruel?
We can’t really talk about Dumbo without talking about circus elephants. It’s a bit of a controversial topic because, while some circuses probably treat their elephants really well, others don’t – and that’s a problem. Before you go to a circus, find out whether or not it has a track record of being kind or cruel to its trained animal acts. Or, check out one of the many circuses that don’t feature any animals at all: flying acrobats and dance routines are plenty entertaining as it is!
