Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, Cartoon Network’s new original animated series introduces viewers to unlikely heroes Finn & Jake, buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. The best of friends, our heroes always find themselves in the middle of heart-pounding escapades. Finn, a silly kid with an awesome hat and Jake, a brassy dog with a big kind heart, depend on each other through thick and thin.

From the mind of creator Pendleton Ward, Ooo is a land built for adventure. Teeming with imposing mountains, lush green plains, accessible forests, ubiquitous prairies and winding rivers, the cities and towns are filled with bizarre characters in need of unique assistance. Whether it’s saving Princess Bubblegum, defeating zombie candy, mocking the “oxy-moronic” Ice King, or rocking out with undead music wiz Marceline the Vampire Queen, with Finn & Jake it’s always Adventure Time.
Character Descriptions
Finn:
At first glance you probably wouldn’t know it, but Finn is a mighty hero. It’s true, he’s passionate about heroism. For a twelve-year-old human boy, saving princesses and battling sinister wizards is quite an admirable hobby. Finn doesn’t know why he’s compelled to protect good from evil; it’s just something he knows he must do. Raised in the wild from infancy and knowing nothing of his real parents, perhaps he will someday learn the secrets of his mysterious past. But in the meantime… adventure awaits!

Jake The Dog:
Jake is the confidante, the dependable buddy, the designated driver when Finn gets all tuckered out. He’s the crutch when Finn falls, the guiding hand to pick him back up; Jake is Finn’s best friend. Like a cool older sibling (Jake’s 28 in dog years) Finn can always turn to him for advice about confusing stuff, like emotions and girls. His reassuring presence lets Finn feel free to act like a goofball. Jake also has magical stretching powers!

Princess Bubblegum:
Not your typical million-heiress, Princess Bubblegum is continually involved in some area of “geekdom,” from rocket science to turtle farming. She may live in a castle in the Candy Kingdom but she loves math and science and is always providing Finn & Jake with interesting projects.

Marceline The Vampire Queen:
Marceline is a wild rocker gal who has lived for centuries and developed a total disregard for social conventions. While her mischievous prankster ways can get on Finn’s nerves and be downright scary, he admires her fearlessness and confidence. And hey, the girl can play! Marceline has spent a few hundred years practicing horns and stringed instruments, get ready to rock out!

The Ice King:
Armed with a magical crown and a frozen heart, the Ice King is a threat to himself and anyone who crosses him. A 1,000-year-old socially inept patoot, the Ice King will stop at nothing to be accepted as the cool-potential-boyfriend to an unlucky Princess or Ice Lady. The Ice King is a frosty thorn in the side of the citizens of Ooo.
