The Spiral Knights have crash landed on the beautiful, but mysterious planet of Cradle, where strange monsters and clockwork machinery is everywhere. Stuck without a way to leave the planet, the knights must work together to explore and tame their new home.
Teamwork like Clockwork
The world of Cradle is separated into an overworld, where players can chat and buy/sell items, and dungeons, where players work together to explore, solve puzzles, and defeat monsters. If you find a group of players that you enjoy working with, you can stay together in a guild and recruit even more members!
The knights can equip themselves with a wide variety of swords and guns and also pick up objects like bombs and pots to throw around. As you explore the dungeons, you will pick up various raw materials that you can use to build a new weapon that are stronger, faster, and can have special effects, such as stun. Weapons level up as you use them and you level up as well!
Free-to-Play
Spiral Knights is available for free to download through the Steam distribution program. While the game is free to play, your knight only has a limited amount of mist energy, which one of the base resources in the game. In order to operate the elevators that take you deeper into dungeons, you will need to use some energy.
Your knight can only store 100 mist energy at a time and must rest to recover the energy when its gone, but you can use real money to buy crystal energy, which are permanent energy that can be stored in large amounts and can also be used like currency and traded with other players.
