After the Celtics devestating performance against the Heat, the Boston Bruins are the only team left to cheer for in the North East... what could be better than a new Superstar to emerge in the NHL Playoffs. Tyler Seguin was called up into the Boston lineup for their Conference Finals Series against the Tampa Bay Lightning and he has turned into a huge surprise.
Tyler Seguin
First of all, Tyler is a big name in hockey. He was selected 2nd overall last year at the NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins, so nobody ever questioned whether he would be a supserstar in the NHL. The thing is that he is only 19 years old and most teams in the NHL don't really expect much from rookies and teenagers... especially in important games like the Semi-Finals in the Playoffs.
4 Point Period
Patrice Bergeron was injured in the final game of Boston's series with Philadelphia and the Bruins had lost their top scorer. Tyler was the only one to fill his skates... and boy did he ever. In his first game back he scored a goal on his first shot. Then in his second game he scored 2 more beautiful goals and added two assists to become the youngest player since 1989 to score 4 points in a playoff game.
Florida Foes
The series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning is all tied up at 1-1 and it's anyone's guess who will win. It's kind of funny how the Boston Celtics faced the Miami Heat and now the Boston Bruins are now battling the Tampa Bay Lightning. What is this? Special rates on airfare between Florida and Massachusetts?
