This week on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 16, the four remaining girls learn to balance fire on their heads! Check out episode 11, featuring guest judge Danielle Issa Helayal, which aired on May 4, 2011.
Tea Party
Miss Jay arrived at the girls’ house to deliver their portfolios because they would be meeting with a very important client—Franca Sozzani, the editor of Vogue Italia. The girls had tea with Franca while she looked through their portfolios and answered many of their questions.
Balancing Acts
Later, Miss Jay introduced them to Noor Talbi, a professional tea-tray dancer. She taught them how to walk while balancing tea trays on their heads in preparation for this week’s challenge. Later that night, they’d be performing in front of a live audience, with not just tea but also lit candles on their heads. The winner of the challenge would receive a one-on-one walking lesson with Miss Jay.
Tea-Tray Dancing
Molly tripped on her skirt and dropped the contents of her tray at the very beginning and looked miserable for the rest the dance. Brittani and Hannah, the two who struggled the most in practice, aced their performances. Alexandria would have done well if she hadn’t become overly confident, which caused her to drop her tray twice. Brittani won the challenge and chose Hannah to join her.
Elimination
During their photo shoot wearing designer Daniella Issa Helayel’s fashions, Molly excelled. Alexandria and Brittani struggled which put them both to the bottom two at panel. After many second chances over the course of the season, Alexandria was sent home.
