The bracket is in for the 2011 NCAA Men’s Division I Championship tournament. From March 15 – April 4, 68 teams will compete for the National Championship title. Let’s take a look at all 4 quadrants of the bracket…
The East
Teams from the East are known to be the beast… I mean best. #1 Ohio State is the top dog in the Nation and most bracketologists have chosen them to win Houston (the Final). However if there is one quadrant that has the most quality teams, it’s the East. So Buckeye Fans, don’t cash in your dreams just yet.
The West
Over in the West you have teams like the #1 Duke Bluedevils… the most loved and most hated team in the Nation. They’ll probably make it to the Final Four where they could possible meet the North Carolina Tarheels. The Bluedevil-Tarheel rivalry is the biggest rivalry in American Sports.
The Southwest
In the Southwest, Notre Dame has finally climbed the ranks to a #2 spot. The Fighting Irish are normally known for their football team, but this year maybe they can use some St. Patrick’s Day luck of the Irish to get to the Final Four… they’ve never been, could this be the year? A Leprechaun told me “no.”
The Southeast
Finally, the Southeast has my favorite Cinderella teams… Butler and Gonzaga. These colleges are teams that don’t recruit superstar players, so they rely on teamwork and heart to win. Those are the games that are the most fun to watch.
