Spare Parts, You Don't Know Jack, and Doc Clock

Jan 20, 2010

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Spare Parts, You Don't Know Jack, and Doc Clock!

Spare Parts

You play as robots Mar-T and Chip, who have been left for waste on a new planet somewhere. You work together with a friend (or not... There's single player as well with just Mar-T) to repair a space ship and escape this doomed planet before the forces arrayed against you show up and take out the trash. Special upgradable parts like Rocket Boots should help you along your way, as will Con-Rad, a computer voiced by Simon Pegg of the top-notch British comedies Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. And if you played LittleBigPlanet, you know how awesome British narrators are.

You Don't Know Jack

The hilarious party trivia game You Don't Know Jack is back, hitting basically every console this winter with new questions and maybe even a little more snarkiness than last time. Seventy full episodes of questions with more than fifteen hours of gameplay is plenty of new interactive game show action with your friends. Old features like the DisOrDat and Jack Attack make their big return, and new ones like the Wrong Answer of the Game promise to keep entertaining as well.

Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time

Okay, you're not going to believe me when I tell you what this game is about unless it comes from the developers themselves. Here's how they describe this crazy game: "Travel through time as you dodge madly misguided techno-phobic hippy robots in a bid to save the Doc's cat Franklin from being turned into a potted 'catcus.'" See? I don't even understand what's going on. Anyway, you build inventions from objects lying around the level and try your best to manuever them where you need to go, and if you mess up, you can rewind time and try again. But what's a catcus?
