Ever wish that the world of Pokemon was real? Invizimals will take you closer to that dream! Kidzworld has the Invizimals PSP Game Review.

Invizimals is a game that is similar to Pokemon: find, catch and battle with strange creatures. There are lots of different creatures with different element types that are weak and strong against other types. The big difference between Invizimals and Pokemon, however, is the use of augmented reality.

Home Invasion

Augmented reality is the idea of enhancing something that is real. The Invizimals game comes bundled with a PSP camera and a special "trap card" that you will use to interact with the Invizimals. According to the game, there are invisible creatures all around you. In order to see them, you need to use the PSP camera with your PSP and the game.

Scanning your house with the camera will reveal these hidden creatures, which you can catch using the trap card. You will need to do different things in order to catch each creature: feed it, shoot it, or trick it into a trap. If the creature attacks, you will need to physically move yourself and the PSP camera away to avoid the attack. Overall, it's pretty fun and awesome to behold. Unfortunately, it isn't 100% perfect as the camera does fail sometimes.

Be the Very Best

Invizimals includes a short story mode with real actors and cutscenes. You will be taking your Invizimals to fight clubs to duke it out with other trainers. Battles are time based, you need to wait after an attack before you can attack again. Stronger attacks require more wait. As you level up your Invizimals, you will get to pick which stats to improve. How you train your Invizimals will be very important in boss fights and in multiplayer.

Overall, Invizimals is super cool. Augmented reality is pretty neat and really fun to play around with. However, the game as a whole feel too short and can still stand some improvements in the camera detection area. Still, this is a one-of-a-kind experience that any Pokemon fan would love.
