Michael Jordan’s Son
Marcus Jordan is the son of the greatest basketball player ever to play the game… Michael Jordan. Marcus is now playing in his second year of college basketball and he’s starting to heat up much like his father Michael. Both of them were not very big prospects in high school and their skills showing more and more throughout the College years.
Brothers of the Best
Marcus started playing basketball with his older brother Jeff Jordan for Loyala Academy in their hometown Wilmette. They led their school to Conference Champs, the best Loyala had ever down in their school’s history.
Bound to the Big City
Marcus moved to Chicago for his last two years at high school so he could play for a more competitive high school. He played for Whitney Young and the team one the state title. Marcus did well and had MVP honors.
Adidas Argument
As Marcus started playing for the University of Central Florida, he refused to wear the Adidas basketball shoes required by all team players to wear under a 5 year contract. Marcus stayed loyal to his dad by wearing Nike’s Air Jordans. The argument broke Adidas contract and Adidas pulled out of all business with the team, which probably lost thousands of dollars in equipment. Now that’s a pretty sweet father-son relationship!
Heating Up
Marcus just recently had the game of his life on opening night of College Basketball this year. He scored 28 points and shot 5-7 from downtown. ESPN has Marcus ranked as the 60th top shooting guard in the whole nation.
