There’s a new fashion and musical powerhouse in town and she’s only just turned ten years old! Willow Smith, daughter of movie stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith has arrived. With her debut catchy single, “Whip It” and a record deal with Jay-Z, Willow is here to be taken seriously. We can’t help but notice her fierce fashion style though - despite her young age she isn’t afraid to take risks on the red carpet! Not many people would wear the far-out leopard ensemble she wore to her big brother Jaden’s “Karate Kid” movie premiere! Born on Halloween, October 31st, 2000, we love her bold fashion choices and her love of bright colors!
Her Style Evolution
In an interview with Teen Vogue, Willow mentioned that her style changed after she was nine years old. No stranger to the spotlight, she had a role in her dad Will Smith’s movie “I Am Legend” in 2007 and in “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl”, it wasn’t until 2010 when her music career took off and her unique and funky style developed. She’s been seen in the front row with her mom at the fashion shows of Giorgio Armani and Dolce and Gabbana - not that she needs help picking out what to wear it seems!
Willow’s Style File
A big fan of statement fashion pieces and funky leggings, funky vests, combat and studded boots and graffiti print, we think Willow is going to give Rihanna a bit of fashion competition and she’s still two years away from her twelfth birthday! Willow loves her knee high lace-up combat boots and pairs them with everything from her black leggings to everything in between. Rarely seen in dresses, Willow loves to rock out in denim cut offs, boots and jeggings in every color of the rainbow. Her hair is a big part of her style as well and is usually seen in a cool shape or style.
