From PETA To UNICEF
Benji is a vegetarian who works with PETA to promote animal rights and the veggie lifestyle, but Joel refuses to be shown up by his big brother. Joel is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and he and long-time girlfriend Nicole Richie created The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation in 2006. The charity keeps an online registry to promote much-needed supplies for disadvantaged families.
Good Charlotte And Beyond
Joel and Benji are best known for Good Charlotte, the world-famous band they started back in their high school days with friends Aaron Escolopio and Paul Thomas. Good Charlotte has released five multi-platinum albums, won numerous awards and toured the world to meet their legions of fans. After years of success with Good Charlotte, the Madden boys are starting to venture into other projects as well.
Paris Hilton And Nicole Richie
Joel and Benji made headlines when they dated celeb frenemies, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. Benji and Paris weren’t to be, but Joel and Nicole now have two kids together—a daughter named Harlow Winter Kate Madden and a son named Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
