Lil Bow Wow, or Bow Wow as he likes to be called, makes his big screen debut in the basketball movie Like Mike. Bow Wow is one of the hottest young rappers on the planet right now and the kid's got game too!Bow Wow plays an orphan named Calvin Cambridge who loves to play basketball with his buddies and dreams about playin' with the big guys in the NBA. Like every orphan, he hopes to be adopted one day too. Calvin's dreams come true when he gets a pair of old Nike sneakers with the faded initials "M.J." on the inside. Turns out the beat up pair of shoes belonged to Michael Jordan and they're magic, transforming Bow Wow into an amazing b-ball player.
Bow Wow gets a lucky break when he gets to have a shoot-out with a pro player during a half-time contest and smokes the player with his wicked hoop skills. Calvin ends up joining the losing NBA team but can the shortest player in NBA history bring the team to victory? You're going to have to see Like Mike to find out. Some real life NBA players make an appearance in the movie including Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning, Kevin Garnett and Chris Webber.
Like Mike isn't just about basketball though - it's got heart too. Like Mike is a feel good movie that's bound to get the ball rollin' and up the basket hype with kids flockin' to the nearest mall to pick up a b-ball. The only downside to Like Mike is that it's predictable with a capital "P" but it's still definitely worth checkin' out if you're a Bow Weazy fan or ya just wanna see a feel-good flick.
