It all started when Jake H. met Casey – a few hours after she was born. He was disappointed she was a girl and cried. Eighteen years later, he got over it, and they started a band. A few years after that, they suckered another kid named Jake C. into playing bass. After shooting down Casey’s idea to name the band Casey and the Jakes, they became Donora.
Donora is a cheery three-piece band and together they play melodic, dance-worthy, garage pop. Their debut self-titled album is uplifting, colorful and dynamic. There is not one song on their album that won’t have you singing along within the first spin and instantly feeling as if you’ve known this band for years!
