You may have seen Bridgit on Wizards of Waverly Place when she played Justin’s vampire love interest. Now she’s got her own show on the Disney Channel called Good Luck Charlie. Find out more about the beautiful Bridgit Mendler in her Kidzworld bio!
Good Luck Charlie
Good Luck Charlie revolves around the daily lives of the Duncan family. Bridgit plays Teddy, the older sister to newborn baby Charlie. Teddy records a video diary in each episode that’s meant to give Charlie some advice about life as a teen.
Bridgit As Teddy
Bridgit had a long audition process for the role as Teddy, but the show’s producers, including Adam Bonnet, the VP of Disney programming, “just fell in love” with her. The show was originally called Love, Teddy, but producers worried the name would only attract girls—they wanted boys to watch too.
The name change seems to have worked because Good Luck Charlie premiered to 4.6 million viewers! No Disney Channel show has had such a high-rated premiere since The Suite Life on Deck.
