Tornado Outbreak gives you control of a destructive tornado, which becomes more powerful as you wreck more objects. Basically, instead of collecting items like in most video games, you get point for flinging them into the air.
Back in September 2009 Konami came out with a new game for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii called Tornado Outbreak, where you get to take control of a destructive entity (a tornado) to become bigger and more powerful as you wreck more and more objects. Basically, instead of collecting items like in most video games, you get point for flinging them into the air. Check out Kidzworld's review of the PS3 version of the game, below.
Tornado Twist
It's simple: you play Zephyr the wind warrior a cyclone that completes the various levels by destroying billboards, Ferris wheels, double-decker buses and skyscrapers. You start out as a tiny twister, flinging rocks and grass, but the more you smash, the stronger you get. You can even earn the ability to hop onto larger objects to help break them up more quickly. Another challenge: you have to avoid sunlight.
In Tornado Outbreak your main goal is to locate and collect as many fire flyers in each level as you can to pass the level and improve your score - just watch the time as there is a limit. Another cool feature to watch for: the way objects shake and shudder as you approach them before breaking into pieces or the way horses neigh frantically as your growing storm draws near.
Twosome Twister
You and a friend can simultaneously play Tornado Outbreak, each controlling your own tornado in the standard levels or alternating shielding and movement duties during vortex races and totem battles (be sure to the camera option to split-screen when playing doubles).
