This week on So You Think You Can Dance, the top 14 dancers performed. Between routines, the show announced the upcoming Celebration of Dance at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre. This massive performance show will feature past contestants from SYTYCD, Dancing with the Stars, America’s Best Dance Crew, the cast of Step Up and many surprise guests. Proceeds will go to dance scholarships for the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Performances
Ashleigh and Jakob danced a Hip-Hop number in which Ashleigh just discovered that Jakob is cheating on her. The judges felt their performances exceed expectations every week. Those who didn’t want Ashleigh in the top 20 are now eating their words.
Karen and Kevin performed Broadway. Even though the judges said that Karen danced better than Kevin, they felt that both of their performances lacked personality and humor.
Noelle and Russell got a second stab at the Fox Trot. The judges said they improved considerably, calling their performance fantastic.
Channing and Victor danced a jazz routine in which they acted like birds. Channing finally came out of her shell this week and seemed to be enjoying every moment of the performance. Victor has always been a strong competitor, but he doesn’t seem to be growing.
Katherine and Legacy performed a fiery Paso Doble. They danced with so much passion and maturity that the judges couldn’t say enough.
Ellenore and Ryan landed an always-beautiful Travis Wall contemporary. They definitely impressed the judges, especially after bombing with a Krump routine last week.
Mollee and Nathan performed a pop-jazz routine. They danced better than last week’s salsa. But the judges still want them to strive for more.
Elimination
Karen and Kevin, Channing and Victor, and Mollee and Nathan landed in the bottom three couples. After dancing for their lives, the judges sent Kevin and Channing home.
