Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview LEGO Rock Band, Band Hero, and Frogger Returns!
LEGO Rock Band
LEGO Rock Band is an all-new game spun off from the Rock Band series emphasizing more kid-friendly rock hits and with some gameplay changes that let everyone get in on the fun. The Rock Band series started off hard and just kept getting harder, but thankfully you don't have to get 100% on "Train Kept A Rollin'" with your hands tied behind your back to play this one. "Super Easy" mode lets you just tap along to the rhythm without having to worry about frets or specific drums. Through play, you earn LEGO studs to customize your band, roadies, and rock den however you like. Oh, and you can play as Iggy Pop or David Bowie!
Band Hero
Band Hero is an all-new game spun off from the Guitar Hero series emphasizing pop hits and with some gameplay changes that let everyone get in on the fun. The Guitar Hero series started off hard and just kept getting harder, but thankfully you don't have to get 100% on "Through the Fire and Flames" with a blindfold on to play this one. "Party Play" mode lets anyone switch in and out from playing in the middle of a song, and on whatever instrument they choose. Also, anyone can play any number of any instruments, including four lead singers. Oh, and you can play as Taylor Swift!
Frogger Returns
Later this fall, Konami will be releasing Frogger Returns for Nintendo WiiWare and the Playstation Network. The game keeps that still-addictive original gameplay and jazzes it up with a new graphical style and some interesting power-ups. Also, this game is going to be 12 times the size of the original. You can enjoy that classic gameplay and the updated 3d look with friends in local multiplayer match-ups.
