Katamari Forever, Afrika, and TMNT

Sep 18, 2009

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Katamari Forever, Afrika, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Smash-Up!

Katamari Forever

Katamari Damacy, the junk-rolling game that started as an innovative cult classic, is releasing sort of a tribute to itself with Katamari Forever. The game features some new levels and some redone old levels from the series in high definition format with remixes of the game's shockingly catchy soundtrack. There is yet more of the King of All Cosmos' completely zany dialogue to absorb here, and if you're hooked on Katamari games, this one will satisfy that craving one more time. If you haven't played one ever before, get ready for a crazy experience.

Afrika

Afrika, originally one of the first bits of gameplay footage shown for the PS3 at E3 in 2006 (looooong time ago in the gaming world), [kwlink 4080]Afrika[\kwlink] is finally ready to be released in North America. The game casts you as a freelance photographer trying to track and take pictures of 70 different animals that roam around your African base camp. You travel by foot, jeep, or even hot air balloon to get the best pictures possible, which can let you unlock better cameras and lenses. A lot of this game is just for the unbelievable graphics, but there's still a nice but chilled challenge in tracking down these amazing animals.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Smash-Up

The heroes in a half-shell have an all new fighting game for the Wii and PS2 with all new animated scenes to go along with it! Choose your turtle, or one of their friends or enemies, and duke it out in beautifully animated environments with up to three friends. With tons of modes and tons of ways to customize them, this game could easily equal up to Super Smash Bros. as a new beat-em-up game. Combine all that with destructible environments and awesome traps, and this is an impressive title.
