Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Metroid Prime Trilogy, Professor Layton 2, and Trine!
Metroid Prime Trilogy
You may not see a better deal for the Wii, well, ever. Metroid Prime Trilogy combines all three of the 3d Metroid games from the Gamecube and Wii onto one disc, for the price of a single Wii game. All three games are absolute classics, and they all still feel pretty new (especially if you've never played them). If you're a new Wii owner, this is probably a no-brainer to buy when it comes out on the 24th. There isn't any better sci-fi shooter, anywhere.
Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box
Professor Layton's devilish puzzles are back in a sequel on the DS. This time, there's a murder mystery to solve and, without giving too much away, your only clue is a train ticket. The game retains its awesome puzzles and adds in some new minigames with really cool twists. Quick note: Diabolical Box is Pandora's Box in Europe.
Trine
Speaking of clever puzzles, Trine for the PC and PS3 is an indie title with puzzles based on the abilities of any of three playable characters. The game plays totally differently if you play as the knight, archer, or wizard. The game's puzzles all rely on true physics so precisely that you may come up with completely new ways to beat the game that were never intended, which is always awesome. Whether on Steam or the Playstation Network, this is a great game from a small developer, and well worth your time.
