You've Been to "Infinity", Now See Beyond
Will Wright's classic sim of, well, everything is getting an expansion pack this week, adding more detail to the Space Stage of the game. If you've played Spore, you'll likely agree that the Creature and Space Stages were the best, and this expansion combines those two along with a LittleBigPlanet-esque mission creator that lets anyone be a level designer. Your creatures can now go down to any planet personally as a Space Captain, using equipment like pulse rifles and jetpacks to complete any missions you may face. This is a really interesting addition to an already limitlessly open game.Farmin' Runes on the Frontier
If you've ever played a Harvest Moon game, you probably thought the same thing I did: "Yeah, this farming gameplay and life sim stuff is great and all, but where are all the swords and dragons?" Well, you probably didn't think that, but that's exactly what this game is about. Surprisingly addictive farming gameplay combines with a fantasy action RPG to give us what looks like a great gameplay idea, though perhaps a bit odd.
Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Council 4
If you're hungry for more Naruto storyline as you wait for all the Japanese episodes to get translated and over to North America (Some episodes that aired in Japan in 2006 still haven't made it here!) you can still get in on the Shippuden storyline through this game on the DS, set to release in a few months' time. The Shippuden anime, manga, and video games focus on a somewhat older Naruto that North America has barely gotten to see yet. This game gives you that storyline, along with an amazing 17 playable characters, lots of touch-screen interaction, and wireless multiplayer. Who needs a TV, anyway, when you can get a more fun version of the Shippuden story right on your DS?
