The Simpsons regularly tops charts as viewers’ fave TV show, so it’s no surprise that a record-breaking number of new episodes are on the way.
The animated comedy is set to become the longest-running prime-time series in American TV history after its makers ordered another 44 episodes.
The show is currently in its 20th season and Fox says it wants at least two more seasons made, which will bring the total number of shows to a whopping 493 since its debut in December 1989!
