Toy Island, here I come!
Although it might sound like the best place on earth, Toy Island is actually a partner of Electronic Arts (EA). That’s the company that makes video games like Madden NFL Football and FIFA Soccer . Together the companies are about to put out some of the coolest sports gear in the world.
Soon you’ll be able to get a soccer ball with infrared sensors and hockey pucks that talk. This futuristic sports equipment will help analyze and improve your skills in five key sports: hockey, basketball, [kwlink]football[/kwlink], baseball, and soccer.
"Our goal is to take [EA Sports] deeper into the fabric of sports, and…allow more people to unleash their inner spirit of sports and competition," says EA Sports president, Peter Moore. "We're excited to be working with [Toy Island] to bring to market unique products that are sure to be captivating for young athletes."
The new gear works like a virtual coach. It instructs users on form and technique, speed and power, and more. Products will include interactive training tools featuring voice commands and instructions that will take budding sports stars to the next level.
There’s also a complete game-in-a-box with all the stuff for kids to practice and play sports, a line of sports toys that cheer when kids use proper techniques, and foam balls to help kids develop throwing and kicking motor skills at an early age.
So if you want to shoot like Kobe or bend it like Beckham, keep your eyes open for this new sports equipment.
