Hey all you Barbie and fashion fans out there! Check out the new Barbie iDesign Ultimate Stylist CD-ROM Game, a computer software game that lets you experiment with fashion, play fashion games, create your own fashion show and design fashion magazine covers.
Barbie Fashion
This computer game takes traditional Barbie doll play and makes it high-tech. The game comes with a USB-connected scanner, 60 scannable fashion cards and a vinyl carrying case for the cards. Each card has its own unique barcode, so when you swipe it through the scanner, its fashion item appears on your computer screen and in the game itself. The cards are clear plastic with the model or fashion item pictured on the card. The position of each card image is specific, so you can stack the cards on top of each other to create the look you want.
Start off with one of the five model (Barbie, Teresa, Nikki, Summer or Raquelle) cards on the bottom, and then add clothing (a top, bottom or dress), shoes and accessories by stacking the cards on top of each other to create the look that you like. When you’re done stacking and creating a look, you can then scan those cards into the computer and watch your model stroll down the runway wearing your original fashion creation!

If you’re drawn to fashion, this game has lots to offer. You can experiment with different fashion looks both on and off the computer, and the software makes use of fashion cards to play games that will really make you think! The cards can also be sorted in different ways, including by fashion style (sporty, rocker, party, bling, beach, princess, school and casual), by sparkle factor (one to three sparkles are shown on the cards) or by clothing type.
