The Olympic flame is on its way to Salt Lake City, Utah. The flame was lit on November 19th in Olympia, Greece where the idea of the Olympic games was first born. The flame will arrive in the United States on December 4th where it will begin a 65 day journey to Salt Lake City. The flame will be carried through 46 states before arriving on February 8th - the day the 2002 Winter Olympics begin.
You'll see the Olympic flame at Salt Lake City but you won't see any sign of goalie, Patrick Roy. Patrick has decided not to stop pucks for Canada at the Olympics because he wants to rest and prepare for the Stanley Cup playoffs instead.
Kobe, Shaq, T-Mac and six other NBA players will be cutting their shorts after the latest crackdown from the NBA fashion police. Those clowns at the NBA, who obviously have something stuck up their butt, fined each player five grand for having shorts that are too long. The league should spend more time teaching refs how to make the right call than they should worrying about how Shaq dresses.
The Detroit Lions suck. There's no other way to put it. The Lions are 0 - 10 after losing 29 - 27 to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions look more interested in sleeping on your gramma's lap and sipping warm milk than they do in playing football.
