What's up Kidzworld members??? Last week I asked for your jokes, not your life savings. I didn't expect to be left hanging. Guess how many of you sent me a joke? Are ya ready? Drum roll please...ONE. ONE faithful and dedicated member. (You will see it later.)
What happened? I want each of you to think about the level of difficulty of emailing me a joke. Is it too much effort? Were you afraid that your joke wasn't funny enough? What? What?
Let's look at a different situation, like school or when you're at home. A request is made of you. It goes into your brain. You're like 'uh, do I say yes or no?' Hopefully you weigh both sides. If I say yes then I have to do this, if I say no it means... whatever. Or maybe you don't really think about the request at all. You just automatically do it. But then, there are sometimes when you don't think, don't say anything and just don't do anything.
Those times are when you should be the most careful. Your ability to reason and make decisions is a special one. It's one that separates you in the animal kingdom from the other animals. Your ability to talk and communicate, think and express your opinion or thoughts or jokes should not be taken lightly. USE IT.
There are places in the world today, where jokes, music and books are censored. That means that someone in the government looks around and can put the smackdown on what they don't like. Which means that if you lived there, you wouldn't have the freedom to say what you wanted, think what you wanted or laugh at what's funny. They crack down on music and even who you can hang with.
All of this gets back to all of you fully participating in this world, your world, Kidzworld, and every chance that you get. So do me a favor - laugh today. Tell someone something funny... smile for all the kids that can't.
Question: What do you call a cow that doesn't make milk?
