Anton Yelchin was born in the USSR, where his parents were stars of the Leningrad Ice Ballet for 15 years and qualified to participate in the 1972 Olympics. In 1989, Anton and his family moved to the United States. Though his parents wanted him to be a figure skater as well, he soon made it very clear that he wanted to be an actor and started taking acting classes.Work It!
At the age of nine, Anton had his first part in an independent film called A Man is Mostly Water. From then on, the work came steadily and Anton played many different roles on TV hits like ER and Law and Order.
