Dear Dish-It, is here to whisper "ttyl after I've thought about this some more".
Dear Dish-It,
I get really embarrassed talkin' to my mom about things like growing up. I really wanna tell her that I wanna shave my legs, but every time I try to, I feel really stupid and chicken out. Please don't just tell me that it's simple because to me it's not and my legs are so hairy it's getting me down.

Dear catcrazy,
Shaving is definitely tricky to get the hang of, but it's not as scary as you might think. Try not to feel embarrassed to talk to your mom about shaving cuz that's what moms are for. She’s not going to think you’re silly or laugh at you cuz she went through this exact situation when she was your age and is sure to be a big help in getting you through it. Let your mom know that you want to start shaving your legs and would like a few pointers on how to do it. If you’re not comfortable talking to your mom, you can always talk to your school nurse or someone at your local drug store. Get them to recommend alternative hair removal techniques, like bleaching, waxing, or using a depilatory cream like Nair.
