Can Brad Pitt be funny? Can Julia Roberts be cute without being annoying? I went to see The Mexican to find out. Two hours later I got my answers - and a sore gut from laughing.
Can Brad Pitt be funny? Can Julia Roberts be cute without being annoying? Those were my big worries when I set out to see The Mexican. Two hours later my worries were gone and my gut hurt from laughing.
They are both hysterical - in a gorgeous sorta way! Julia plays Sam, a hyper kinda chick who is obsessed with "figuring things out". She drags Jerry (Brad's character) to marriage counselling even though they aren't married. When Jerry has to leave town for a couple of days for work - she throws a fit (and throws all his stuff over their apartment balcony)and moves to Vegas.
You kinda can't blame her though cuz Jerry's work is helping mob guys do bad things. On top of that, he's got the worst luck you've ever seen - in fact it's the whole reason he has to work for the mob to begin with. Anyway, he goes off to Mexico to get this cursed gun for his boss. Jerry loses his car, the gun and his bosses dead nephew. His boss thinks that he is just stalling on giving him the gun and has Sam held hostage by a hilarious gay hitman. Here's the twist - someone else sent a hitman after Sam too.
I don't want to give it all away - and it's really to complex to explain, but it's a funny, funny story. A bit of warning - although it's not too bloody, it does get kinda violent.
